Request a Refund
Only an agency can grant a refund. Pay.gov cannot.
Your receipt has the information needed.
Contact the agency paid.
- On your My Account page, open Payment Activity.
- Open the Completed tab.
- Find your payment and copy/print the information.
- Contact the agency paid.
- You must know:
- the agency paid
- what you paid for
- the date of the payment
- the amount paid
- if a bill was paid, was it paid in full or were only some line items paid
- Contact the agency paid.
